All Firewood produced by Out in the Styx has been sustainably harvested from company's own property in a Queensland Government Natural Resources & Mines permitted clearing operation.

Boxed Firewood:

As a convenient option for consumers and store proprietors, Out In The Styx offers it's mixed hardwood firewood in cardboard boxes. All logs are sawn or split to a maximum length of 28 cm in order to fit comfortably in most combustion heaters.

Bagged Firewood:

Out In The Styx is currently preparing our offering of  bagged firewood in a variety of sizes from 10kg, 15kg & 20kg. All bags are heavy duty and breathable to ensure minimal sweating and condensation. OITS bags firewood for other FAA members subject to capacity.

Dry Firewood:

All firewood supplied by Out In The Styx has a moisture content <25% for clean burning and less smoke.

Sustainable Collection:

Harvested timber is allowed to completely dry for a year or more before the boxing or bagging operation begin - ensuring thoroughly dry clean burning wood. Re-growth, small branches and large trunk timbers are used for other purposes including mulch, woodchips, fence posts & milled timber.

FAA Licence:

Out In The Styx holds a Firewood Association of Australia licence number Q052 allowing for the sustainable collection of firewood.

Delivery & Availability:

Out In The Styx can supply quantities of firewood for re-sale to convenience stores & other outlets in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Childers. Loose cut and split firewood for domestic customers is also available in these areas also.
